Book Review: The Virtual Breastfeeding Culture

Being a breastfeeding mother in a technology-driven world can be overwhelming. The phrase, “Google it,” comes up in about every conversation you have where there is limited knowledge. Using the Internet to search for information can be timesaving, if you know where to look and what to look for.

Book Review: Exclusively Pumping Breast Milk

The author, Stephanie Casemore, wrote this book, Exclusively Pumping Breast Milk, for pregnant and breastfeeding mothers. She intended to provide a resource for women who couldn’t breastfeed or chose not to for whatever reason.

Book Review: Feeding and Swallowing Disorders in Infancy: Assessment and Management

Feeding and Swallowing Disorders in Infancy: Assessment and Management reads as a graduate school textbook intended for any professional who may qualify as a feeding specialist (i.e., occupational, physical, or speech therapist; nurses in inpatient or outpatient settings; physicians).

We've Got Your Back Babe!

Every year, Americans donate billions of dollars to find cures for diseases, while breastfeeding—one of the single most important preventative measures against infections and life-threatening illnesses for both babies and mothers—is dead last in the race for funding. As a result, poor information to pregnant women, overwhelming barriers to breastfeeding, and a persistent lack of culturally competent care, cause millions of moms to needlessly suffer, struggle and ultimately prevent them from reaching their personal breastfeeding goals.
